Chiltern Rangers C.I.C has been awarded a grant of £18,474 over two years by Marsh & Micklefield Big Local, (M&MBL), for an exciting new project.

Running in Marsh and Micklefield, volunteers from the local community, led and supported by Chiltern Rangers, will have the opportunity to get more hands on in their local woods and other areas in Marsh and Micklefield.

The project aims to engage with local people to help enjoy, manage and maintain local woodlands, open spaces and rivers through a mixture of practical sessions, training and fun community events. The project will include opportunities for volunteers to receive training, attend educational courses/workshops and learn new skills.

The first big day this year is Saturday 16th January:
10:30 am – 12 noon ‘Gardening for Wildlife talk’ at Micklefield Library, in partnership wit Micklefield Gardening Group.
1pm – 4pm: New Year family scrub cut and marshmallowy fiery feast on Micklefield Bank, Gomm’s Wood, meet at the cinema field (Gomms nature reserve beside Ash Hill School)
Everyone Welcome!
